We're glad you're here. This space was created for smart people who enjoy building better, safer hosting environments. We hope you’ll keep things respectful, useful, and relaxed. Before you jump in, please take a minute to read (and actually follow) these simple rules:
1. This isn’t a support forum
This forum isn’t the place for cPFence support requests or bug reports — it’s run by just two very busy coders working full time to deliver great software, along with one volunteer moderator. The good news is our dedicated support team is fast, professional, and ready to assist you through the ticket system. You’ll get sorted out much quicker there.
2. Enhance is part of the vibe
Most of us here use (and honestly like) the Enhance control panel. It’s not perfect, but it covers the basics and helps us get stuff done. If it’s not your thing, that’s fine — occasional constructive criticism is welcome. Rants, complaints with no value, or drama posts aren’t.
3. Real faces or logos only
Use either a respectful real photo of yourself or your company’s logo as your profile picture. No anime avatars, memes, or random junk. Keep it professional.
4. Keep it positive and useful
This community is here to share real-world experience, tools, tips, and maybe even a few laughs. If your posts create stress, start arguments all the time — you’ll be banned.
5. No spam or self-promo without value
Don’t promote your service, site, or product unless it’s directly helpful to the topic or genuinely benefits the community. If you're just here to drop links or plug your stuff without adding value, you're in the wrong place.
6. Stay on topic
This forum is for cPFence, security, servers, shared hosting and related tech. Off-topic posts, will be removed.
7. Respect others, even if you disagree
Healthy debates are great, but personal attacks, sarcasm, or condescending tones won’t be tolerated. Talk to others like you would in a team setting.
8. Don’t leak or share private content
Don’t post logs, configs, or screenshots that contain private data without properly redacting them. Respect the privacy and security of others.
9. We moderate with care
We reserve the right to remove any post, comment, or thread that we feel isn’t appropriate or doesn’t fit the spirit of this community. This can happen without notice, explanation, or debate.
Let’s build something helpful together. If you’re here to learn, share, and contribute — you’re in the right place. Welcome to the cPFence community!.
