Remove Duplicate IPs

I added China to the blacklist due to some attacks. But I later realized there were a lot of duplicate IP addresses.

It would be interesting to create a daily automatic check routine to remove duplicate IP addresses. This would include duplicate IP addresses from the IPv4 and IPv6 allowlists, as well as from the blacklist.

I created a script to remove duplicate IP addresses, but it would be interesting to have this natively and automatically implemented by the system itself. Perhaps a daily check.

It’s already handled as long as you use the WebUI or CLI commands, cPFence won’t add duplicates in those cases. If you edit the files manually, though, it can’t prevent or clean them up for you, so you’ll need to handle deduplication yourself.

One question: in a scenario where I've blocked China, a client in China needs to access the website, but their IP address is blacklisted because the country is blocked.

Should I remove the IP address from the blacklist and add it to the whitelist?

When restarting CPFence, won't it reload the IP address to the blacklist?

To make an exception, just add the client’s IP to the whitelist.
